Four lakes walk

in the Kufsteinerland region

This circular walk leads to four picturesque lakes in the Kufsteinerland region. The route starts slightly above Kufstein at the Hechtsee lake car park.

Walking on a comfortable path that runs directly along the banks of the Hechtsee lake, you are immediately surrounded by nature. After walking one half around the Hechtsee, the path leads to Egelsee lake, generally considered a stunning natural landmark, and then on to Längsee lake along an idyllic small stream.

A few minutes more, and you reach the last of the four lakes – the Pfrillsee. Known for its romantic and natural atmosphere, this spot is perfect for an extended break – or for taking a refreshing dip in the water.

The circular four lakes walk...

...is suitable for the whole family, as the route is mostly flat.

It offers everything nature fans are looking for – crystal clear water, impressive scenery and, on hot summer days, the prospect of cooling down in one of the lakes.

The four lake walk offers two alternatives:

  • Tip 1: Starting point Hechtsee, past the lakes mentioned above, then return on the same path (walking time approx. 1.5h)
  • Tip 2: In the form of a circular walk, taking in the Thierberg mountain and Thierberg chapel (walking time: approx. 3h)
