There are many places around DAS SIEBEN in Bad Häring that are ideal for a day out. Some are just a few minutes’ drive away, whilst others are a little further afield and well worth spending half a day or a full day exploring.

In Kufstein, you’ll encounter history, charming narrow streets and the fortress that dominates the townscape. In Ebbs and Kramsach, special places offer an insight into the life and culture of the region. And if you’re heading towards Innsbruck, you’ll find architecture, museums and views that show Tyrol from a different perspective.

Many of these destinations can easily be combined with a day out. You set off, soak up the atmosphere and return later – with the feeling of having seen something special without having to plan too much.

In the surrounding area, you’ll find, among other things, Kufstein Fortress, Kufstein’s old town, the Riedel Glassworks, the Fohlenhof Ebbs, the Tyrolean Farm Museum in Kramsach, as well as attractions in Innsbruck such as the Nordkette, the Golden Roof and Ambras Castle.

Kufstein Fortress

To this day, the fortress remains an integral part of life in Kufstein.

Whether it’s a concert in this truly unique setting or a tour of the many exhibitions awaiting visitors at the fortress, a visit to this piece of history is always a highlight.

Römerhofgasse & Kufstein Old Town

Tyrol’s smallest old town, with its picturesque Römerhofgasse, historic houses and historic buildings, is well worth a visit in both summer and winter, allowing you to immerse yourself in worlds long past.

Fohlenhof Ebbs

Fohlenhof Ebbs has something to offer for all horse lovers – and anyone who wants to become one.

Come and see for yourself and marvel at the unique stables, paddocks with panoramic views of the Kaisergebirge, and the extensive outdoor grounds where the horses can be observed every day. A museum and a small children’s playground make the Haflinger stud farm an ideal day-out destination in all weathers and for the whole family.

Ebbs Exotic Zoo

The Ebbs Exotic Zoo is home to a variety of exotic animals right at the foot of the Zahmer Kaiser.

Tyrolean Farm Museum, Kramsach

Kramsach Cemetery Museum

In Kramsach, in the Lower Inn Valley in Tyrol, behind the Sagzahnschmiede, lies what is probably a unique relic of times gone by: 

The owner of the smithy – Hans Guggenberger – has managed to collect countless grave crosses and headstones from the last century to display them because of their unique inscriptions. “Here lies Martin Krug, who beat his children, wife and organ” is just one of the many amusing sayings that may well amaze us today.

Swarovski Crystal Worlds, Wattens

To mark the centenary of the Swarovski company, multimedia
artist André Heller created a masterpiece of imagination and wonder. A magical place where contemporary art meets ancient history. A visit to the "Giant" or the garden will also enchant you, leaving you in awe and inspiring you to dream.

Ambras Castle, Innsbruck

Ambras Castle in Innsbruck remains one of the city’s most culturally and historically significant attractions to this day. The magnificent Ambras collections, which await visitors in the so-called ‘Lower Castle’, were assembled by the Renaissance prince Archduke Ferdinand II. Also well worth a visit are the so-called Cabinet of Curiosities, the Armoury of Heroes and the Archduke’s Antiquarium.

Nordkettenbahnen Innsbruck
(67 km) ☀ | ❄

With the Hungerburgbahn, Seegrubenbahn and Hafelekarbahn, you can take a ride every 15 minutes, all year round, straight up to the impressive and famous Nordkette. The cable car was planned and designed by the architect Zaha Hadid.

The Golden Roof, Innsbruck

A tour of the museum takes you back to this late medieval world of guilds and social classes, beggars and townspeople, courtly festivities and bloody battles, bustling trade and lucrative silver mining.

Alpenzoo Innsbruck

Europe’s highest zoo, situated at 750 metres above sea level, is home to over 150 species of animals from the Alpine world. Whether it’s bears or snow hares, there’s plenty to marvel at in the Alpine Zoo in Innsbruck. The zoo is well worth a visit in both winter and summer.

Bergisel Ski Jump, Innsbruck

The star architect Zaha Hadid has enriched Innsbruck with a fitting venue for the world-famous International Four Hills Tournament.
Since 2002, the Bergisel ski jump has stood proudly in the south of Innsbruck and has since become not only a sporting but also a tourist attraction for visitors from all over the world. The panoramic restaurant and the magnificent viewing terrace invite you to linger and marvel. Experience the thrill of the heights for yourself on this architectural masterpiece.
